Preparing for FREEDOM WRITERS, remembering special educators

As excitement for our Freedom Writers concert ramps up, we are ruminating on the text of Howard Hanson’s Song of Democracy, which quotes Walt Whitman’s “An Old Man’s Thought of School.”

As we reflect on Whitman’s words—coincidentally during national Public Schools Week—we think, of course, of our own influential teachers.

Below, a handful of Princeton Pro Musica singers remember educators who shaped their paths in life, and about whom they’ll be thinking at our March 15 concert.
