Billy Ford has been the sole proprietor of S. W. Ford Inc. a firm dealing in estate jewelry and gemstones since 1981. After studying gemology with the Gemological Institute of America while in high school and during his freshman year at University of Hartford, he came into his father’s eponymous jewelry business in 1975. From 2001 to 2006 he had a retail establishment at ABC Carpet and Home in Manhattan under Deborah Mellen/Billy Ford Estate Jewelry. Besides dealing in jewelry, Billy has lectured on jewelry for both Christie’s and Sotheby’s Fine Art Auction Houses and at several universities.

Billy grew up in Westfield New Jersey and graduated from Westfield High School where he solidified his love of choral singing under that schools wonderful choir director Edgar Wallace.

He began serving as a Princeton Pro Musica Trustee in 2019
