CODEBREAKER: Calendar of Events

In the lead-up to our May 18 performance of Codebreaker: The Alan Turing Story, Princeton Pro Musica is excited to announce a handful of events to help you learn more about Turing, his life, his work, and his connection to Princeton. We hope you’ll join us for these events—especially the performance itself!

Mark your calendars:

As the conductor of the U.S. premiere of Codebreaker in 2022, we are thrilled to welcome Scott to Princeton and to learn from his insights.

CODEBREAKER CONCERT (for tickets click here)

On Sunday, May 18 at 4 p.m., we will close our 2024-2025 season with James McCarthy’s Codebreaker: The Alan Turing Story. Sharply focused and emotionally gripping, Codebreaker brings together the driving thrum of a full orchestra, the powerful force of a 100-voice chorus, and the poignant perspective of a soprano soloist who sings the role of Turing’s mother. With poetry by Sara Teasdale, quotations from Turing himself, and even the words of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s posthumous apology to Turing, you are sure to leave the concert hall feeling changed. This is a performance you don’t want to miss, and won’t soon forget!
